WGE helps City of Gosnells to achieve Australia’s first 6 Star Green Star Rating for Public Building Design v1

Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) provided structural design services for construction of the Mills Park Community Centre in Perth’s south-east which has recently been awarded Australia’s first 6 Star Green Star rating for Public Building Design. The facility includes a hall and function centre, commercial kitchen and café, meeting rooms and activity spaces, indoor play area, clubroom and changing rooms for sporting groups and office space for staff. WGE helps deliver a first for public hygiene

WGE has helped to deliver Australia’s first retractable or ‘pop-up’ urinal in the City of Perth’s busy Northbridge entertainment precinct. The innovative design, utilised in cities throughout Europe to improve street hygiene, sits hidden below ground during the day and rises into place when late night crowds are at their peak. The urilift houses three self-cleaning urinals and is operated with a remote control. WGE provided civil, electrical and hydraulics services on the project. WGE Specialist Lighting team set to unveil White Night installation

The specialist lighting team from Wood & Grieve Engineers’ Melbourne office have applied the finishing touches to their ‘Penumbra’ installation ahead of its unveiling at the annual White Night event this Saturday. WGE team mark 100 month milestone with the opening of Elizabeth Quay

Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) is proud to have played a role in the successful public opening of Elizabeth Quay. A three-week celebration following the grand opening has seen thousands of visitors experiencing the new inlet, island, promenades, public art and water playground. Changes to BCA plumbing standards realise considerable cost savings

In line with sustainability and water conservation practises, modern day tapware and appliances require significantly less water flow than older appliances. However, the Australian Standard that determines the requirements for reticulating hot and cold water within buildings has not been updated to reflect the reduced demand. Premier opens new Ronald McDonald House

The new $27 million Ronald McDonald House in Nedlands, officially opened today by Premier Colin Barnett, provides a home away from home to an increased number of families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment. 2015 Perth to Busselton Bike Ride a huge success

Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) annual Perth to Busselton bike ride was held on Friday 13 November, with 32 participants completing the 245km ride in sweltering conditions. The annual event is a test of strength and endurance to raise vital funds for the Children’s Leukaemia and Cancer Research Foundation bringing employees and clients together for a good cause.
