Jacques has built a solid base of knowledge and experience in the commercial, residential, mining, oil & gas sectors. He started his engineering career in South Africa, and then moved to New Zealand where he worked with Tyco International Ltd. In 2002 he arrived in Brisbane where he has worked as a Mechanical, Fire and Vertical Transportation engineer, construction & operations manager, certification engineer and project manager.

Jacques has recently joined Wood & Grieve Engineers as the Fire Services Section Manager.

Outside of work

Caravanning, traveling with family around Australia and exploring the outdoors and Woodworking . Spending quality time with my family.

What will you bring to a project

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry the key too many of the achievements in my career come down to my ability to exceed project expectations on quality, schedule and safety.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Mechanical Engineering - University of Pretoria, South Africa (1996)
  • Bechtel Quality Medal 2012 - Excellence in Quality Management & Safety.
  • B-Cert : Senior Engineer III
  • B-Cert : Start-up Specialist
  • Vice President of the NFPA (2009)
