Ben commenced his career as an electrical engineer with WGE in January 2004. He has been involved in design, documentation and contract administration of many diverse projects within Australia. Based in the Melbourne office Ben has worked on some exciting projects including numerous research and health projects for clients such as St John of God, Melbourne University and Bendigo Health. Ben is the Electrical Section Manager in the Melbourne office and has been responsible for leadership and management of the electrical team since 2005.
I can make a significant contribution to any project, both on a technical level and as the leader of the electrical and technologies services. Coupled with my business acumen and philosophy of understanding the client’s business needs and expectations, I can influence the design towards the client’s goals. Technical and people skills are my strong points.
Ben likes to continually support the growing sporting prowess of his daughter, enjoys supporting his rugby union team (Rebels) and his wife’s cooking.

Ben/Glenn, On behalf of Isis Projects, I would like to extend our congratulations to Wood & Grieve Engineers for your contribution to works undertaken at 332 Albert St East Melbourne. This project was awarded "WINNER" Excellence in Construction of Commercial Buildings $5M-$7M during Master Builders Association 2007 Excellence in Construction Awards conducted at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, on Saturday evening. This award reflects the significant contribution made by all project participants and we at Isis Projects would like to commend Wood & Grieve Engineers for their collaborative approach to project delivery.
Kristian Pascoe, ISIS Projects
We were impressed with the professional and co‑operative approach undertaken by Wood & Grieve. The high standard of documentation that was prepared by Wood & Grieve provided clear, practical, innovative and economical design solutions within a challenging architectural envelope. From the clients perspective, the project has been a real success story. I can confirm that Wood & Grieve Engineers were very professional, timely and pro‑active during all project stages.
I would like to express appreciation to the Wood & Grieve team leaders Grant Holman and Ben van Niekerk who together led the building services design development process. Wood & Grieve's proactive and responsive approach has been refreshing given the limitation of building services design expertise in Tasmania.
