Bruce joined WGE in 2004 as a Mechanical Project Engineer and became a Principal in 2006. He has been charged with several strategic initiatives including the establishment of a Sustainability Section in WA, mentoring and training a “future leader” to take over as the manager of the section and to continue its growth and development.
Another of the strategic tasks undertaken by Bruce was the investigation into the viability of WGE establishing an office in the Middle East.
Bruce has been instrumental in the Perth office being the leading Healthcare mechanical consultancy in the State and in assisting the procurement and delivery of healthcare projects in our eastern state offices.
I enjoy the challenge of the early stages of a new, preferably unusual or unique, project which requires “thinking outside of the box” to deliver a sound engineering design that matches the client’s expectations; be they budget, time, functionality, build-ability, maintainability or whatever other criteria may be the major drivers.
My proven experience in innovative design solutions across multiple engineering services and ability to communicate effectively with other design professionals makes a significant contribution to the successful delivery of a the projects I am involved with.
Bruce is an avid traveler, keen golfer and enjoys fine food and quirky bars.
UWA Business School
A uniquely challenging university project, the first in Perth to include both active and passive chilled beams.
In their respective roles as Mechanical and ESD Engineers Bruce and Prasanna have always acted in a collaborative manner with me as a client as well as with other members of the project design teams. Wood & Grieve Engineers have been proactive in problem resolution and have provided a high standard of reporting and prompt responses to information requests.
Bruce’s and Prasanna’s extensive knowledge of ESD principles and in particular the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating (ABGR) System has been an essential part of ING Real Estate Australia being able to target 4.5 star ABGR for this project.
