Dara joined WGE in 2013 with the goal to grow and develop the Melbourne Civil Section. With extensive global experience across multiple industries Dara’s primary role is to lead and deliver the Civil projects from conception through to completion.
With a positive can-do attitude I bring a unique and approachable personality to a project. I like to take a proactive approach to project collaboration by listening to the needs of the client and team. This results in sustainable and robust design solutions and ensures positive outcomes for each project.
Travel, football, golf… Although most of his recent travel is back and forth to Ireland he has travelled extensively through Europe, Asia and South America. Highlights include climbing mountains in Patagonia, Piranha fishing in the Pantanal and shark diving in the Galapagos Islands. Dara is also keen sports man playing golf from time to time and occasionally enjoying it. Being a Manchester United fan he also enjoys watching Liverpool almost win the league.

Re-design of the iconic Melbourne site included road intersection upgrade works with associated zebra crossing, pavement design and new stormwater drainage.
Melbourne Park Eastern Plaza Development, Olympic Boulevard ($180 million)
Lead engineer on stormwater drainage design associated with 4.5 hectare tennis complex and clay tennis court extension to the Melbourne Tennis Centre Project.
Frankston Regional Aquatic Centre ($48 million)
Design team leader for a project that included hydraulic flood modelling, stormwater drainage design, car park design, bulk earth work and extensive authority liaison for the new aquatic Centre situated on Melbourne Water Flood basin.
