Gus has more than 27 years’ experience in the Building Services Engineering field. His career has included a significant focus on facilities management covering all building services disciplines, particularly in the Hospitals and large retail facilities After beginning his career in South Africa, Gus relocated to Australia in 2008 and joined Wood and Grieve Engineers in Brisbane as a mechanical engineer. He is now a project engineer as well as the resident sustainability and property asset management project engineer in the Brisbane Office. Gus’ experience in the Sustainability role includes Section J compliance assessments for a number of large retail and commercial, as well as Aged Care developments. He is further more conversant with the Green Star rating tools and recent involvement includes compiling Green Star Pathway documents and ESD DA reports for retail, Commercial and a number of Residential developments. Gus is also fully conversant with the BERS Pro House rating software which enables him to model thermal performance of residential buildings.
My experience in the facilities management field allows me to bring a practical approach to the design process with a real life understanding of design solution implications.
Apart from spending time with his family, Gus enjoys flying radio controlled aircraft in his spare time.

This $30 million project consisted of a hotel complex containing trendy bars and dining facilities and conference venue, accompanied by an adjacent liquor barn.
Westmark, 22-36 Railway Terrace Milton (Residential Units)
The project comprises 243 one, two and three bedroom apartments over two towers, 850 sqm. retail and 291 basement carparks.. WGE have been commissioned to provide the Environmentally Sustainable Design DA Report, NCC Energy Efficiency Deemed-to-Satisfy Assessment and Energy Efficiency Modelling Under NatHERS (BERS PRO).
