James joined WGE in January 2018 as a transportation engineer to help establish the transportation engineering sector within the Melbourne office. James has successfully managed and delivered many traffic and transport projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria for both the private sector and government clients. James has expertise in all areas of traffic and transport planning including road safety design, road network master planning, traffic and car parking impact assessments sustainable transport planning and road safety auditing. Having regularly appeared at VCAT and Panel Hearings since 2005 James is also an experienced expert witness.
I have significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a diverse range of traffic and transport related areas, gained during extensive experience in consulting and local government.
Having worked in the industry for almost 20 years, I understand the importance of undertaking a whole of development approach to transportation to ensure the best possible results; good transportation outcomes should not dictate design but integrate seamlessly.
Family and friends are very important to James and he enjoys spending time with his partner and two children. Being a keen adventure racer, James will regularly be found in the bush, running, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, pack rafting or undertaking some other kind of activity.
