Specialist Lighting
Jean-Paul joined WGE to advance the specialist lighting discipline. Jean-Paul originally started in the industry as a Design Draftsperson working in the Building Services industry 23 years ago. After 12 years of electrical design experience, he moved into Lighting Design. Jean-Paul has been fortunate to be able to work for some of Victoria’s leading lighting designers, providing him with strong skills in visualising creative lighting solutions. Whilst working in a wide variety of project types that include Landscape, Public Spaces, Sports Stadium and facilities, Retail, Hospitality, Gaming, Residential, Universities, Commercial Office Buildings, Tenancy Fitouts, Shopping Centres, Educational, Defence, Healthcare and Custodial Facilities, Jean-Paul has gained vast experience and exposure in all aspects. Jean-Paul is very active in the lighting community. He will soon commence the role of Victorian President of the Illuminating Engineering Society. Jean-Paul’s knowledge and experience is indispensable to ensure successful outcomes for your projects.
I am very energetic when it comes to lighting and feel equally at home on any lighting assignment. My approach is to provide comprehensive lighting outcomes by balancing ‘creative’ and ‘technical’ lighting design solutions to spaces. Specialist lighting is about innovation and creative thinking and I combine a robust practical sense and an excellent understanding of light and its application.
Jean-Paul is married with two children. He enjoys playing golf, hiking and riding his bike to work. He is an avid Carlton fan.
