Joining WGE in 1994, Liliana quickly proved her value to the Electrical Team, becoming Project Engineer and a Principal of the firm. She was responsible for establishing our Underground Power Design section - one of WGE’s most successful performers nationally. Over the last 24 years Liliana has co-ordinated large and complex projects in most sectors, but most notably in Sports & Recreation, Office & Civic Buildings, Tenancy Fit-outs, Tertiary Education and Land Developments. She still retains her passion for electrical design and has developed special building services skillsets in the areas of communication networks, speciality lighting, power distribution and power protection.
With a track record for strong and positive leadership, Liliana promotes a collaborative ethic as key to success, believing every project is a team challenge with the ultimate goal of delivering the Client’s vision. She invests in her relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, suppliers and authorities to ensure the journey is enjoyable and productive. Regularly adding to her wealth of knowledge through conferences, publications and contractor contacts to keep abreast of new technologies, Liliana enjoys working with our young engineers, helping develop their skills through WGE’s Talent Development programme.
In recognition of Liliana’s 20+ years’ active involvement in the construction industry, Engineers Australia elected her to the grade of ‘Fellow’; the highest recognition available to professionals in the industry.
My focus is always on the client and identifying the engineering pathway to achieve their goals. I particularly enjoy the rush of ideas that flows with the commencement of a new project, sifting through the possibilities and identifying solutions that will deliver the best balance of value and innovation over the long term. Handing over a successful project to the client and seeing it in use brings the greatest satisfaction to me.
Liliana is an easy going person who loves travelling, outdoor activities, cooking and is always on the go with her family and friends.
