Electrical Project Engineer, Principal

Office: Perth

Disciplines:
Electrical

Joining WGE in 2002, Matthew has specialised in the design, documentation and supervision of electrical and communication services for government and private institutions, successfully delivering projects ranging up to $2 billion in value. In particular, his ability to successfully deliver large and complex projects has earned him a reputation for excellence and an invitation to become a Principal of the company.

Detail-driven, Matthew’s rigorous interrogation of client requirements and intelligent implementation of technology exceeded the brief at Fiona Stanley Hospital, where many of the innovations introduced have subsequently been adopted as new baseline standards. Matthew is popular with clients for his focused care in providing electrical design that fulfils operational requirements, whilst remaining aware of the commercial aspects of timescale and costs.

What will you bring to a project

I thrive on the complexity and challenges that arise in major projects and particularly enjoy liaising with the stakeholders in the early design process. By asking the right questions to really interrogate the user requirements, I know we can tailor solutions that can fulfil the Client’s needs, exceed standard requirements and deliver engineering excellence.

Outside work

Matthew is an active patrolling surf life saver and coaches nippers. He is also a keen long distance runner.

Client testimonials

Mr Quin … I am writing to you to convey my appreciation for the work you have undertaken in reviewing the proposed National Health Facility Guidelines.

I understand that many early morning meetings have been required and that the work has been undertaken in your own time. Your willingness to provide future support is also to be applauded.
