Mike joined the Albany office of Wood & Grieve Engineers in May 2002 as a Civil Engineer. Mike became a Civil Project Engineer in 2004, a Principal of Wood & Grieve Engineers in 2007 and the Brisbane Civil Section Manager in 2009.
Mike’s responsibilities at Wood & Grieve Engineers include engineering design and documentation, project management, client liaison, services planning, feasibility studies, contract administration, obtaining Authority approvals and superintendence of various civil engineering and land development projects including residential, health, industrial, Defence and commercial developments.
Mike also has extensive experience in the civil engineering requirements for overall locality structure planning of large land development projects to establish viable master planned communities with an urban fabric which enhances the natural environment.
Mike is involved in the detailed design and superintendence of bulk earthworks, roadworks, sewer reticulation, stormwater drainage, pump stations, retaining walls, water reticulation, gas and underground power reticulation for various civil engineering and land development projects.
Mike has a proven record of client satisfaction through his hands-on approach to managing projects. Mike builds close relationships with his clients to ensure successful outcomes are achieved within established programs.
My enthusiasm to engage with a client on all aspects of a project ensures that their vision becomes a viable reality. With the ability to offer a broad range of project experiences, I have the skill set to enable significant project cost savings and timeframe reductions even before the commencement of detailed design. My approach is team orientated to aligned stakeholders to the project’s ultimate goal.
In a former life, Mike managed a scuba diving company and continues to feed this passion with trips to remote locations in the world. With a young family in tow, Mike enjoys camping and attending live sporting events.
