Olivier joined WGE in 2009 as the acoustic section manager in the Sydney office. He became an Associate of the firm in 2010 and a Principal of the firm in 2011. Since 2012 Olivier is the National Acoustics Coordinator at WGE.
His experience and understanding of other disciplines relating to acoustics such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, architectural and structure allows him to provide an integrated approach to acoustic design, ensuring the projects acoustic performance requirements are met without compromising the design intent.
The experiences that I have acquired working on high-end projects within a multi-disciplinary company allow me to bring a strategic contribution to the concept stage of a project, setting it up for success.
Outside work Olivier enjoys spending time with his family, Georgina his two boys Noah and Leo. Olivier also likes to play beach volley ball which reminds him of the years when he use to play in the National league in France. Olivier also likes skiing, playing the drums and catching up with friends around a glass of Pinot Noir.

The laboratory is vibration isolated to achieve a maximum 10nm displacement at 2.25Hz.,The addition of four new projection rooms on-top of an existing cinema structure. The main issue was to provide enough noise insulation from external sources with Sydney’s international flight path located at the vertical of the building requiring the team to use light weight construction due to existing structural limitations.,The project involved two regional hospitals located in NSW, one being a refurbishment of a heritage building and the other a new build. The project had typical acoustic issues associated with hospital such as helicopter noise and emergency department noise. Nevertheless the main challenge was to accommodate the construction activities with an operational hospital.,WGE were successful in a design competition for this regional performing art center that included a 1000-seater auditorium and a 120-seater blackbox with ancillaries’ facility. This project is one of a kind which only occurs every 5 to 10 years in each state around Australia. The reason for the team being successful was the translation of the project brief into the project schematic design presented to the judging panel.
