Phillip began his career as a Telecommunications Engineer in the RAAF, specialising in radio, air traffic control and tactical communications systems. He then held project and engineering roles with Siemens and Philips, deploying and supporting telecommunications networks and services. From 2004, Phillip lead design and delivery project teams in the Victorian rail industry, culminating in his management of rail OCS standards and systems engineering within the Department of Transport.
Since joining WGE in 2017, Phillip has developed WGE’s profile in a number of rail projects, involving the upgrade of security, lighting and electrical systems across the metropolitan and regional rail networks. Most recently, Phillip directed the delivery of ICT Professional Services to SJOG Berwick Hospital, a project for which WGE received a significant industry award.
I understand the competing demands of project stakeholders, in particular the importance of integrating technology early in the design cycle. I bring strong interdisciplinary engagement skills to each role, and I enjoy helping clients to create value for their business through the innovative use of technology.
