Starting out in WGE’s Albany office as a Trainee Draftsperson in 2000, Travis quickly identified engineering as his career goal, gaining formal qualifications whilst working for us during vacations. His pragmatic approach and engineering aptitude resulted in strong performance and subsequent rapid increases in his responsibilities to Project Engineer and appointment as Associate of the firm.

Travis has extensive experience of leading and co-ordinating major projects, i.e. Elizabeth Quay, as well as a high volume in all Civil Engineering sub-sectors, such as infrastructure, brownfield & greenfield development. He has a robust knowledge and understanding of Water Corporation services and stormwater projects in particular and he relishes the challenge of tailoring engineering solutions to meet the demands of the site, its constraints and architecture.

Adopting a holistic approach to capture the needs and wishes of all disciplines and stakeholders, Travis is flexible and approachable, developing genuine relationships that promote a team-first ethic that is appreciated by clients. His skillset includes addressing all aspects of the detailed design process, stakeholder engagement, project management, authority approval and superintendence for a range of sectors, including Education, Health and Municipal projects.

What will you bring to a project

I welcome the challenge that accompanies the construction phase of a project; getting onto site and resolving the issues that inevitably arise, finding practical solutions that limit impact on the greater design, the budget or the programme for the client. It’s also incredibly satisfying to see infrastructure being used as envisioned, on what was once bare ground.
