Australian Towers II is a 603 residential unit development situated in the heart of the Sydney Olympic Park. The development is the tallest in the area and boasts 360 degree views of Sydney. The WGE hydraulic team were involved in the tender documentation for the Hydraulic & Fire services and have also been engaged by the hydraulic contractors for the construction phase services which involves detailed coordination with the construction team as well as advice to the contractors.

The large structural offsets at the base of the towers created a particular challenge for the WGE team. The difficultly was in the coordination of the transferring hydraulic services sewer and storm water through the 1200x 1200 transfer beams and large transfer slabs. We achieved the transfers while maintaining 3m-3.7m clearances over the car parking and deliver dock areas, we transferred pipe sizes in up to 225mm for sewer and 375mm for storm water.
