Campus Apartments, Monash

Completion year 2015

This residential development comprises of 181 apartments and townhouses over three buildings above a common single-level basement car park. WGE was involved in the schematic design, design development, contract documentation and construction stages. Project challenges include working with authorities to extend the existing sewer main and the requirement to complete the project within a tight timeframe.

One of the major challenges for the project was the existing twin 1.7m diameter Melbourne Water trunk drains that fronted the site. All incoming services for the development had to be bored under these assets, which proved to be a considerable challenge.

WGE also completed the design and superintendence of a new Yarra Valley Water sewer main extension to service the development, involving deep excavations (>5m) and boring under the busy Gardiner Road.
