The project involved extension and construction of new facilities to deliver vocational training services.
The project involved:
- Extension to existing “B” Block for Beauty and Hairdressing
- A new two-storey “H” Block facility for allied Health Industries Training and Workforce Development
- A new single storey “J” Block facility for an Aboriginal Cultural and Learning Centre
- New car par for up to 100 bays, including garage parking for up to 12 vehicles
Project challenges:
- Relocation of existing sewer pump
- Minimise disruption to learning areas
- Incorporation and consolidation of learning areas that were scattered across the Institute
- Managing relocation of learning areas for the duration of works
