This project involved an integrated fitout for Flux – Spaceqube tenancy including the basement, part of ground floor and Level 1 at Parmelia House in Perth’s CBD. The project also included upgrades to the arcade, entry lobby, café and retrofitting fire sprinklers.

Project challenges:

  • Services had to be upgraded or replaced to create new office space from existing retail and food and beverage tenancies
  • Coordination of exposed services was required to achieve the architectural intent and client’s requirements
  • Replacing existing services to comply with current standards. This required regular site meetings with the builder to review existing services within the tenancies to come up the most cost and time effective solutions
  • Time was a key factor as it was a very short design and construction period. This was overcome by working closely with the design team and builder
  • Working closely with the client and builder to ensure the building is safe and remained so during construction
