The heritage-listed Glebe Town Hall building was originally constructed in 1891 and operates as a community venue for hire and an office space for various community groups. WGE were engaged as the services consultants in a project that involved significant restoration and refurbishment of the building. Over the years, the building has suffered significant water damage and deterioration of roof and façade elements.

A number of ad hoc additions at the rear of the buildings were enclosed in a void, creating a new lift and fire stair connections to the interior levels of the building. This solution also provides a new light-filled circulation area and improved access to the three grand halls.
The natural ventilation system that had been decommissioned many years before was reinstated using new zinc roof ventilators, reopened wall vents and enhanced with automated fans. The grand halls were fitted out for events , music, gallery and other functions with sound control and new services. A new commercial kitchen was included to cater for the events.
