The project comprised the extension and refurbishment of the North and South Precincts at Knox Private Hospital. The project involved construction of new wards, supply, car park and operational areas within a very densely occupied hospital precinct.
Project challenges:
- Designing infrastructure to ensure that existing operational areas of the hospital were not interrupted during the works or so that difficult site access required working from inboard areas and moving outwards to the perimeter
- Project design including staging and buildability analysis to allow the project to proceed in a logical manner on site
