This project involved refurbishment of the Old Laidley Town Hall and the removal of the adjacent administration building to deliver the Laidley Library and Customer Service Centre. The first stage of the project involved demolition works to decrease the overall footprint of the existing building to approximately half the original size. WGE reviewed the existing systems and re-used or relocated these where possible to reduce costs.

Project features:

A fabric duct was chosen over a tradition spiral duct to serve the main library space to maintain aesthetic focus on the multi-colour timber feature ceiling panels. The fabric duct also offers ease of installation, commissioning and maintenance/cleaning as well as greater air distribution and effective cooling through the air supply outlets located continuously along the duct.
