The Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre located in Sydney’s North Shore features a range of recreational facilities such as swimming pools, gym and a sauna. In early 2019, the Lane Cove Council lodged upgrades for alterations and additions to the existing Aquatic Centre. The improvements were necessary as the pool was forced to close in December 2018 due to urgent safety concerns and the pool’s declining structure.
Our team engaged in designing the outdoor pool, foyer and grandstand from concept through to the tender stage. The plan features to include a noise limiter design integrated into the PA system to minimise noise to the surrounding residences.
In the grandstand, we incorporated reticulating downpipes to stormwater pipes to by-pass existing infrastructure. With our strong focus on sustainability, we included a photovoltaic system on the rooftop of the grandstand.
As a vital asset that unites the community, we’ve been fortunate enough to support and create a safe environment for all to enjoy.
