Martumili Art Gallery in Newman is a mixed use gallery building, containing exhibition spaces, art storage, administration offices, meeting facilities and 120m2 of residence, all within a 1700m2 steel portal frame shed. The facility was designed for use by local indigenous artists. WGE provided design, documentation and project management services, delivering the project within budget and program with cost and energy efficient building services.

Efficiencies were implemented which minimise water consumption - a 130kL storage tank was installed within the shed structure to treat and reuse rainwater supply for toilets and laundry fixtures. Solar heat pump water heaters were also fitted to minimise energy use for water heating.
