Structural Project Engineer, Associate
WGE were engaged as Leighton’s Temporary Works Engineer for the duration of Melbourne Airport’s new $150m T4 terminal project. WGE provided over 80 site instructions, work sequences and inspection reports for site fences, gates, temporary propping of steel, pre-cast concrete elements, temporary excavations, trenching, partial demolitions, escalator installations and crane pads.
WGE also provided designs and details for temporary stability structures, crane lifting lugs, as well as for new floors, ramps, handrails and screens, site shed roof, covered walkways, baby change tables and miscellaneous items. WGE worked directly for Broad-Leighton, responding to all site engineer requests and liaising with all stakeholders throughout.
