The Sydney Metro project aims to deliver 66km of rapid transport rail infrastructure including 31 new stations. The project aims to increase the capacity of the rail network to allow an increase in trains passing through the CBD from 120 to 200 per hour with a train every four minutes.
The WGE Infrastructure team have worked on several aspects of what is Australia’s largest public transport infrastructure project. Members of the team have been involved on the project from the enabling works projects for the North West stage through to the current Sydenham to Bankstown stage.
The team has been involved in design team leading, construction supervision, shop drawings and Independent verification roles for a number of key stakeholders on the project showcasing WGE’s diverse and wide ranging design consultancy offering.
