WGE were first engaged by Department of Human Services (Medicare, Centrelink and Child Support) to review Canberra Data Centre’s facilities against the concurrent maintainability requirements of TIA 942 – the North American standard for data centres - commonly applied throughout the world.

Since completing this review, WGE have worked directly with Canberra Data Centres to complete schematic designs for their future facilities in accordance with international standards and industry best practice including TIA 942, Uptime Institute, BICSI and the latest ASHRAE TC9.9 recommendations.

The Federal Government has now implemented a timeline towards ensuring their equipment is located in environmentally considerate data centre facilities. WGE have worked with Canberra Data Centres to maximise the Power Use Effectiveness (PUE) of their facilities, as well as establish NABERS ratings in accordance with the latest NABERS for Data Centres tool.

WGE have NABERS for Data Centres Accredited Assessors, and engineers in all states conversant in the latest data centre standards and practices.
