Forrest Circle is a 6 story residential building containing 77 individual dwellings located in South Hedland, Western Australia (WA). What’s unique about Forrest Circle is that the dwellings were actually designed, documented and fabricated in Victoria before being delivered and assembled on location.
The success of the Forrest Circle project shows exactly why the modular construction methodology continues to grow as a very competitive alternative to traditional construction techniques.
As a national engineering firm WGE were perfectly positioned to undertake this project. WGE’s seamless multi-office coordination made it simple for their Victorian based design team to easily deliver a project in the North West of WA with minimum fuss and hassle for the client.
Features & benefits:
- Pre-engineered and designed modules landed in WA complete with the majority of services infrastructure intact inclusive of mechanical, hydraulics, fire and electrical componentry.
- Minimal site works required and therefore a reduction of expensive labour costs associated with carrying out a project in a remote region.
- Modularised fire hydrant and sprinkler pumpsets, prebuilt and pre-commissioned in Perth, further reduced site labour to only the positioning of pump sets onsite and final commissioning.
- Utilisation of modular construction technology to minimise waste in all aspects of the construction process.
