Situated in the heart of Sydney’s Chinatown, the Quay Haymarket combines the very best in architecture, interior design, construction and environmentally sustainable design.
The Quay Haymarket is a mixed-use building consisting of a total of 270 residential apartments, located above a three level retail podium. The development has been designed to limit greenhouse gas emissions through the adoption of passive design features including:
- Maximised natural ventilation
- 6.0 Star NatHERS rated apartments
- Double-glazed commercial façade
- Energy efficient lighting
- Building automation control
- Provision of outdoor communal facilities
The Quay Haymarket received a 4 Star Green Star rating following WGE’s Round 1 submission to the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA). The GCBA certified outcome was achieved on the back a strong drive to reduce building energy demand, improve on standard residential building practice through the introduction of building automation, improve occupant amenity and communal facilities and reduce potable water demand.
