Quentin joined WGE in March 1999 after five years as a Project Engineer for a Mechanical Services Contractor.
Prior to this, Quentin was employed as a Mechanical Engineer in the minerals processing and mine dewatering industries.
After initially working for WGE as a Project Engineer in the mechanical services section, Quentin was appointed Mechanical Services Section Manager.
In 2010, to facilitate the continued mechanical engineering focus of the Perth hydraulic services section, Quentin was appointed Hydraulic Services Section Manager.
His aim is to continue to grow the section through the recruitment of innovative graduate Mechanical Engineers who are prepared to take on the unique challenges of the hydraulic services environment.

Quentin enjoys overtaking lycra clad cyclists while on his electric bike!What will you bring to a project?
I bring an extensive knowledge of a broad range of projects from education to defence. Having a combined hydraulic/mechanical background gives me a unique perspective on the design issues that affect both services. My experience as a NABERS assessor gives me an understanding of the aspirational targets of the sustainable initiatives being developed for a project. In addition, a personal interest in building services due diligence brings a focus on buildability, ease of maintenance and durability. Overall, I have the depth of experience to talk to clients about the high level issues that often need to be resolved in the early days of schematic design.Qualification:

RAAF Base Pearce Redevelopment. The project consisted of multiple distributed buildings including a centralized mess; air movements facility; 79 QSN headquarters building; refurbishment of Hangar 95; living-in accommodation; Boeing C17 facility; and the new fuel quality control centre.WA Newspapers Project Colour. The project involved the development of a new colour printing facility for WA newspapers at their headquarters in WA.
Burswood Park Exeloo Automated Toilet Installation. While a very small project, the complexities of a very short program, difficult ground conditions and integration into Burswood Park’s existing services made for an interesting experience.
